Fine pit carving of General Kuwan (关羽 Guan Yu). One of the most well-known figures during China’s Three Kingdoms dynasty from 220 to 280 AD. He is best known for this loyalty serving Liu Bei 刘备 as well as his bravery in many famous battles.
His is usually appeared in the Chinese opera with red face and dark green war robe with a giant Halberd like weapon named ‘Green Dragon Crescent Blade ‘青龙偃月刀‘ (a double-edged moon shaped blade on the end of a pole).
