The Young Monkey King Mala with Cypress bodhi 108 Beads Full Mala + Bracelet Set
A mala made by 108 fine rare 9 mm x 6 mm cypress bodhi and 8 (20 mm) hand carved pit bead with exquisite detail. On each of the pit beads, it was carved with one of a kind Monkey King with unique expressions. Monkey King is the main character from ‘Journey to the West’ – a Chinese novel published in the 16th century during the Ming dynasty. Monkey King is fearless, powerful, loyal and invincible.
Seeds: In addition to the mala, custom designed bracelet with the same size cypress bodhi bead and a white cylindrical stone bead (found from a antique flea in Shanghai China).
Spacers: These 8 carved beads divided mala into section of 9 with 12 beads each.
Guru Bead: Icy red agate bead. Two Sun Stone Round bead and a old antique rectangular red agate bead as spacer beads.
Pendant: Below the guru, a one of a kind round stone bead with Qi pattern 云气纹.
Fishing Style: Cotton hand rolled red tassel. String is a strong black 1.2mm rope non-elastic.
String: Multi color non elastic cotton hand rolled rope with tassel ending.
