A client asked us to create a special mala in honor of Navavidha, that consists of nine ways to express devotion for God. Nava is Sanskrit for ‘nine.’ Navavidha is mentioned the Hindu scriptures, Srimad-Bhagavata and Vishnu Purana.
To build this, the client sent us (8) bronze marker beads to divide the 108 Rudrakshas into nine groups of 12 Rudrakshas each. For the pendant, the client send us a 9 Mukhi 20mm Rudraksha from Indonesia. Along with the instructions from the client, we built a mala with a geometry of nine to celebrate Navavidha Bakti, or, nine ways to worship God with devotion. It is the Bronze Navavidha.
