Antique Chinese Mini Gourd Container with a rosewood cover made by huanghuali wood.
It was used to keep cricket as pet which emerged in China in early antiquity. Initially, crickets were kept for their “songs” (stridulation).
The lid is tightly matched with the container with perfect seal and is made by precious huanghuali wood. There is a carving of Chinese character Fu- 福 means happiness and good fortune.
