About Rudraksha :
Rudraksha, also rudraksh, Sanskrit: rudrākṣa (Sanskrit: रूद्राक्ष)(“Rudra’s [Shiva’s] Teardrops”), is a seed traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism. The seed is produced by several species of large evergreen broad-leaved tree in the genus Elaeocarpus, with Elaeocarpus ganitrus being the principal species.
Paragraph below is quoted from a rudraksha expert who I learned so much knowledge from:
“Rudraksha is a seed from heaven for the well being of all human beings (rudra means Lord Shiva and aksha means tears). If you wear a rudraksha for few months, it will store your energies and give it back to you whenever you need it. You can identify your rudraksha without even seeing from of a bunch. It works on the energy channels of our body (known as nadi or chakras). You may have felt uneasy when you change your place of sleep, if you wear rudraksha it won’t happen. It acts as a cocoon. It also has many many health benefits. It reduces the thoughts per second in our mind. For me personally, it has a tremendous effect. But to have it work, it should be of good quality in all ways possible. The higher the altitude, better the seeds.
If you don’t believe in all this, just think how our thoughts are generated. There is no pattern, it just pops. Nobody has been able to define life till date and will never be able to.
It is rare that an unripe seed will work. Just think if we pluck an unripe seed, we will never be able to grow it into a plant.”
